The new you could be someone unexpected…

Stunned by a life-changing secret and an unexpected inheritance, Cady Morrow leaves her responsible London life behind and hits the California flash mob trail. With her wild twin sister Shelby in tow, she’s determined to make every day of her new start count. So when they’re invited to travel on the flash mob team’s luxury tour bus—in close company with Reid, a man who sets her dangerously, deliciously off-kilter—Cady grabs the chance to be a different version of herself.

But she soon discovers that not everyone she encounters is who they seem to be. A complicated new family, unwelcome surprises, and secrets past and present test her faith in her reinvented self, as well as in those around her. And when Shelby goes missing, Cady has to rely on the enigmatic Reid for help, even as she doubts his motives—and her resistance to his teasing charm.

With the flash mob facing disaster, her sister in jeopardy, and things with Reid heating up, Cady realizes that what started as ‘fake it ’til you make it’ has become her reality. And when she finds herself in a life-threatening confrontation, she learns just how different she can really be…and exactly what she’ll do for the sake of a new start.

Serena Clarke grew up in a family of itchy-footed readers and dreamers—not concentrating, reading the atlas and Narnia books, and planning to escape somewhere magical as soon as she could. When she was 16, she left New Zealand to live in Sweden for a year. It was the beginning of many travels and adventures—and quite a few disasters!

She didn’t know it at the time, but eventually she’d be grateful for all the downs as well as the ups. As writers say in the face of adversity: “I can use that.” She’s now back in New Zealand, where she writes stories reflecting her determined belief in magic, possibility, second chances, and happy endings.

Fractured by Leanne Pearson

For twenty three year old Katrina Smith, the events of one day irrevocably changed her life. Life in Christchurch, New Zealand, couldn't have been better. She was in love with a wonderful man, had a job she enjoyed, and had her life mapped out before her... What dawned as a typical summer’s day, changed into a day of devastation and overwhelming loss. An insidious danger lay beneath the benign land surface, seismic tension, like a ticking time-bomb, was counting down to a catastrophe. And Kate and her boyfriend, Daniel, were in its path. It took mere seconds for the world to be ripped out from under her. Suddenly, Kate was deluged by a vortex of Post Traumatic Stress, guilt and crippling anguish. Dominic Dell’Antonio, an American marine working in New Zealand, was a man hiding from his own demons which lurked behind depthless blue eyes that read so much, yet yielded so little. He kept himself aloof and isolated. Nightmares regularly plagued him. As Kate slipped under a suffocating wave of heartache, she blocks out the world behind self imposed walls, drowning in the torrents of grief. Quiet, yet commanding, Dominic connects with Kate on some inexplicably deeper level. He wants to protect her. He wants to make her his. Two damaged and guarded souls drawn together through tragic circumstances. Two lonely hearts drawn to one another to find comfort.

TEASER 1:
I have to take a deep breath. Having this fragile, yet exquisite woman lying in my bed two feet away is pure torture. She's facing me, legs tucked up towards her chest; eyes closed. The moonlight streaming through the window is casting a muted light over her delicate features. Her blonde hair is fanned across my pillow in soft waves. Forcing myself to focus on her face, I dare not let my eyes roam south. Her sweet musky scent hits my nostrils, and I have to clench my fists, talking myself down from the really stupid impulse I have to reach down and run my hand through those golden locks. Despite the outdoor temperature, this woman has set my body on slow burn. I feel drawn to her. From that first moment our eyes met, I felt it. An inexplicable pull.

TEASER 2:
He leans across the table and moves the hair out of my face to touch my cheek. I inwardly cringe; my ugly scar now fully exposed.
"So easy to coax a blush outta this gorgeous face, ain’t it?" he murmurs.
My cheek tingles where his fingers brushed across it and butterflies take flight in my stomach. Oddly, I have the urge to cry though, as his touch stirs memories of a forgotten longing: The yearning to be touched intimately. Held. Comforted. That must be it. I'm lonely. It's the only logical explanation for the confusing feelings I’m experiencing around this man.
"My face is scarred, Dominic. It's an ugly reminder I have to look at every day."
Dominic takes my hand in his, and my breath hitches. He pins me with his eyes.
"It's not somethin' I even notice, sweetheart. It's invisible to me. What I do see is an exquisitely beautiful woman who has experienced unimaginable loss and hurt, but she survived. Don't allow this to define you. Every time you look in the mirror, let that scar be a reminder that you've been given another chance at life."
"I can't, Dominic. Every time I look at it, it reminds me of what I've lost."

Wreck You Excerpt:

(From Ian)

“I drink just about anything, but because I started with a margarita, I’ll have a shot of some tequila.” She sat up straight and tipped her head to the side. “What about you? Are you just a sloppy beer drinker?” “A sloppy beer drinker?” I questioned while polishing off my last few swigs. “Yeah. They say beer drinkers are known for sloppy, lazy sex.” She flashed me this look, one that made me feel as though she were waiting for a specific type of reaction. She was baiting me to ask how she knew this and to push the topic of conversation further; it was reflected in her eyes. “Never heard that before.” I pushed my empty beer bottle away. If that was the type of sex she associated with guys who drank beer, then I didn’t want to be lumped into that category in her mind—even though it was too late for that. “So what do they say about tequila?” “I’m sure you’ve heard the saying.” Her eyes glittered with mischief as she glared at me. I shook my head. “And what saying is that?” “That tequila makes clothes come off.” I laughed. “Oh really? I think I have heard that before actually. It’s in a song or something. The question is—is it true?” I raised an eyebrow at her, wondering where the hell this brazen guy had come from. This was so not me. I didn’t talk this way to females. This was Brent. Oh, God, Brent had rested at the bottom of that beer. Yeah, it was definitely time to switch up my drink of choice for the night.
